With a background encompassing over 20 years of experience in clinical care and operations, Pamela founded Family Health Advocates to respond to the growing needs of clients seeking support with their health care concerns. Pamela has always been a strong advocate for patients and their families. Her understanding of managing complex questions, choices and decisions during a health crisis gives her a unique skill set to lead our care team to best guide patients with their personal health care needs.

Pamela has a Bachelors degree in nursing and did further studies in long term care business administration. She has held key management positions in acute clinical settings, long term care, consulting and private industry.

As a health care consultant, Pamela conducted a research project for executive level policy makers in the Canadian government, organized capital build projects for Family Health Teams, created health care business plans, needs assessments for primary care practice models and assisted physician groups experiencing operational crises in governance, human resources and organizational management.

Pamela has experience working with legal, government and media relations experts and spearheaded the successful opening of the first private Canadian health clinic owned and operated by a US hospital system. Pamela’s healthcare management experience also includes the administrative oversight of the department of surgery at a large US academic medical centre and as Executive Director of a long term care facility owned by the largest senior living company in the world.
